Connect with international women
We are an international network of professional women who meet regularly to learn from and support each other in a relaxed atmosphere, in both English and German.
PWF brings together international, career-minded women who value the contacts and exchange of ideas and experience that active networking brings.
Our monthly evening events are held in English and German and provide a relaxed and supportive atmosphere for members and guests to discuss issues that challenge women in a global working environment. Structured presentations on personal and career development or business topics and in-company tours are a regular feature of our meetings and we also encourage members to present their own businesses or services.
Learning and development
PWF addresses business themes with the needs of the international professional woman in mind. Our speakers cover IT and communications needs, financial and tax issues, starting a business in Germany, aspects of international law, employment issues or the international recognition of qualifications.
Equally important are personal development topics, such as techniques for success in the corporate executive environment, stress management, goal setting, dealing with change, communication and rhetoric training and professional creativity. In each of these areas we give special focus to intercultural aspects.
Longer seminars on professional and personal development skills are also offered at weekends.
Communication and support
Set up in 1994 by Pat Pledger, a British businesswoman with extensive experience in human resources management and language training, PWF became an "eingetragener Verein" under German law in 1995. PWF’s explosive growth following its foundation confirmed to us that there was an acute need for communication and mutual professional support among women.
Our membership represents a wide range of professions and nationalities, which gives us a better understanding of the global approach which exists in today's business world. Members are executives, employees and entrepreneurs, freelance professionals, women whose careers are changing direction and women on the move. While only women can join PWF, we actively welcome men as guests at our meetings.
